Managing Assets in Orchestrator

Creating Assets

To create a global asset:

  1. Click AddAdd. The Add Asset window is displayed.
  2. In the Asset name field, enter a name for the asset.
  3. From the Type list, select the type of asset you want to create.
  4. In the Value field, type what the asset should contain or, if the asset type is boolean, select True or False.
  5. Click Add. The Add Asset window closes, and the new asset is created and displayed in the Asset page.

Important!

Please note that once an asset is created, the asset type cannot be changed.

Creating a Per Robot Asset

  1. In the Assets page, click AddAdd. The Add Asset window is displayed.
  2. In the Value Per Robot tab, in the Asset name field, enter a name for the asset.
  3. From the Type list, select the type of asset you want to create.
  4. From the Robot list, select the Robot that you want to give access to the asset.
  5. In the Value field, type what the asset should contain or, if the asset type is boolean, select True or False.
  1. Click Save. The asset is stored for the selected Robot.
  1. (Optionally) Click AddAdd to add another asset for a specific Robot.

Important!

Changing the asset type when adding multiple assets per multiple Robots resets the values of all the previously created assets.

  1. Click Add. The assets are added to the corresponding Robots and displayed in the Assets page.

Editing Assets

To edit an asset, click the corresponding Edit button, make the necessary changes and click Update in the Update Asset window. Only the asset value and name can be edited.

Removing Assets

To remove an asset, click the corresponding Remove remove_button button.

Alternatively, you can select one or multiple assets and click the Remove button.
